Abstract:
»Este artigo busca explorar a pintura Lucrécia (1621-1625) de Artemisia Gentileschi a partir da abordagem subversiva da recepção em Emily Greenwood (2016). Para tanto, realizarei uma análise crítica da pintura com base em Greenwood (2016), ressaltando o diálogo da obra com as questões de sua época, em especial a querelle des femmes. Com isso, espero contribuir para os estudos de Gentileschi mostrando seu engajamento com um debate político, literário e artístico da época, mais do que mostrando as relações entre sua vida e obra, como fizeram muitos de seus estudiosos.«
